The Oaks Women’s Club Awards 16 Scholarships Totaling $80,000

The Oaks Women’s Club Scholarship Committee has announced that 16 young women receiving diplomas from Sarasota County high schools this Spring have each been awarded $5,000 scholarships. The recipients are Samantha Asselin-Cazares (Venice High School), Aeryal Bryen (Venice High School), Trina Hughes (Venice High School), Madelyn Kona (Venice High School), Olivia Sleight (Venice High School), Madison Studt-Campbell (Venice High School), Chloe Bernal (Booker High School), Sophia Coscia (Booker High School), Zionna Williams (Booker High School), Brianna Witlarge-Isaacs (Booker High School), Ausiana Laguerre (Sarasota High School), Jovanna Patino-Murillo (Sarasota High School), Rosenna Chan (Pine View School), Abigail Dale (Pine View School), Erica Schmitt (North Port High School) and Dana Molina (Riverview High School).
The scholarship winners were honored at the April 14 luncheon at The Oaks Club. Since the first scholarships were granted in 2002, more than $730,000 has been awarded to 156 young women to help them reach their educational goals.
