Dr. Allison Foster, the current principal of Phillippi Shores Elementary School, has been selected to serve as the Sarasota County School District’s new Executive Director of Human Resources and Labor Relations. She will transition out of her current principalship into her new role at the end of the month. In the new position, Foster will direct all activities relating to labor relations; plan, develop and recommend programs to improve teacher attendance; oversee the hiring of minority teachers, long-term professional development, formal leadership training for principals, and the interview process for new teachers; provide leadership, coordination, and supervision of risk management and benefits; and plan, recommend and promote policies and programs that will support School Board objectives, among other responsibilities.

Foster is a lifelong resident of Sarasota County and has been involved in the school system in nearly every capacity: as a student, teacher, administrator and parent.
