The Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance (LWRBA) has announced the five winners of the 10th annual Sandies Awards, the organization’s annual awards event. This year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the event was held virtually and streamed across the LWRBA’s Facebook and YouTube pages. In recognition of these difficult times, the Alliance adapted its annual event to include categories specific to this year, such as the Bull by Horns awards, which recognized excellence in pivoting and evolving business processes in response to the pandemic.

The 2020 Sandies Awards winners are Peggy Kronus, Willis Smith Construction (Community Champion, individual); Alex Gault, The Otto Group at Hightower Advisors (Rising Star); The Circus Arts Conservatory (Bull by the Horns, companies under 25 employees); Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County (Bull by the Horns, companies over 25 employees); and Willis Smith Construction (Community Champion, company).
