Lorna Luft, Broadway star and daughter of legendary actor July Garland, will be the keynote speaker at Tidewell Foundation’s 12th Annual Signature Luncheon, scheduled for February 5, 2021.

Since making her show business debut at 11 years of age, Luft has been a stage, film and Emmy Award-winning television actress and continues to perform in both the U.S. and the U.K. She is an author of two books—Me and My Shadows: A Family Memoir and recently A Star is Born: Judy Garland and the Film that Got Away. After battling breast cancer four times and surviving brain cancer surgery, Luft has also become a dedicated philanthropist, fighting for a breast cancer cure and the importance of comprehensive healthcare. She is a tireless campaigner for children’s healthcare and generously supports charities that provide HIV/AIDS services.  She also speaks candidly about the challenges of mental illness and its impact on women and their children, as well as the courage it takes to seek healing.

The Signature Luncheon is Tidewell’s an annual fundraising event to help fund the services Tidewell provides to more than 10,000 patients annually, regardless of their ability to pay. The luncheon will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 5, 2021, at The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota. For more information, call Debbie Mason at (941) 522-7658.
