Amanda R. Kison, an attorney at the law firm of Bentley and Bruning, recently joined the board of the American Red Cross of Southwest Florida, which serves Charlotte, DeSoto, Hardee, Manatee, and Sarasota counties. By mobilizing volunteer and donors, the American Red Cross works to prevent human suffering in the face of emergencies, supports military families, supports the blood supply and provides community training.

Kison's main responsibilities will be to serve as an ambassador for the organization's local chapter. She has been practicing law for nearly a decade concentrating her practice in the area of commercial litigation involving business and real estate disputes. A former professional, nationally ranked equestrian, she is resident of Sarasota, where she lives with her husband and two children.
