Kathryn Whalen has joined Career Edge Funders Collaborative, the Sarasota Chamber of Commerce’s workforce initiative, as its program Coordinator.  Whalen will assist with workforce development initiatives, leading fast-track training programs, work with business and community partners, as well as coordinating special projects for CareerEdge Funders Collaborative.

Whalen has a bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida in hospitality management and communications and started her career at the Seminole County Chamber of Commerce as a development and special events manager. For the past 10 years she has been working in the private sector, as the director of operations for a local family-owned-and-operated home inspection company, Second Opinion Home Inspection, LLC.
