Durisan, the Sarasota-based manufacturer of sanitizing and germicidal cleaning solutions, has announced the appointment of Naji N. Abumrad, MD, FACS, to its newly formed scientific advisory board. Abumrad is the John L. Sawyers professor of surgery and executive medical director of the Surgery Patient Care Center at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn. Abumrad's charge includes identifying potential board members with the knowledge and experience to help Durisan conduct research and with product development, as well as informing organizational investment and expansion into markets.
