ALSO Youth Names New Executive Director

James Robinson will assume the role on April 13.

ALSO Youth, a nonprofit organization serving LGBTQ+ youth in Sarasota and Manatee Counties, has announced James Robinson as its new executive director. Robinson will assume the role on April 13, 2020; he brings more than 20 years of nonprofit and fundraising experience to the organization, most recently serving as development director for De LaSalle Academy of Fort Myers, a school-based program for children living with learning challenges. Prior to relocating to Florida, he served as the executive director of Youth Pride, Rhode Island’s only LGBTQ+ youth center, where he increased the center’s programs, services, staff and outreach to youth. He has also worked for other organizations over the years focused on HIV/AIDS activism, healthcare and community development. Robinson holds an advanced degree in urban affairs from Hunter College in New York.
