Florida looks to add more residents and more jobs in 2020, according to Florida Chamber Foundation chief economist Dr. Jerry Parrish, who gave his annual 2020 economic outlook last week.  The state currently has a 3.1 unemployment rate; Parrish expects Florida will create 200,000 jobs this year and projects the state will see 900 net new people moving to Florida each day throughout 2020, despite a drop to 640 net new residents per day in 2019. The Florida Scorecard also says that the probability for a recession in the state has declined to 21.2 percent.
