Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections Ron Turner's office is beginning to mail vote-by-mail ballots to voters participating in the upcoming Florida House District 72 special election, which includes Democrat Margaret Good, Republican James Buchanan and Libertarian Alison Foxall. A total of 695 ballots were mailed on Dec. 26, to uniformed services members and civilian voters residing overseas. More than 21,000 additional ballots are scheduled for mailing to domestic voters beginning Tuesday, Jan. 9. Early voting in the race begins Saturday, Feb. 3. The election concludes on Tuesday, Feb. 13.
