The University Park-based breakfast and lunch company First Watch this week announced that it grew traffic and sales in 2016 and that the company's average unit volumes for all its restaurants has increased by 22 percent over the last five years. The company opened 21 new restaurants in 2016 and converted dozens of other restaurants from brands it acquired in previous years. The company also inked new partnerships with commitments for more than 100 new restaurants in new markets such as Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas.
