It’s almost over, folks, we promise.

This Monday, Oct. 24, is the start of early voting for the Nov. 8 general election at seven locations throughout Sarasota County: the Supervisor of Elections offices in downtown Sarasota, North Port and Venice; the North Port and Fruitville public libraries; Westfield Sarasota Square Mall; and the Nokomis Community Center. These polling places will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily through Saturday, Nov. 5.

We hope you’re not surprised that several races are on the ballot besides the Big One, including, of course, the U.S. Senate race to retention of judges to hospital board and charter review board.

We encourage you to visit the Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections website, sarasotavotes.com, for a wealth of information about the upcoming election—including a sample ballot and precinct finder in case you want to wait till the actual election day, Tuesday, Nov. 8.
