Sarasota County recently hired Christopher Louria as director of the Human Resources Department. Louria has more than 25 years of human resources management experience, and has spent the last 20 years as chief human resources officer for Sysco, the food distributor. He is scheduled to start Monday, Aug. 22; he will replace outgoing human resources director Joanie Whitley, who is retiring later this year.
