Sanborn Studios will pay back Sarasota County $350,064 as part of a final judgement in a lawsuit the county had filed against Sanborn for violating terms of a financial incentive agreement it signed with the company in 2010. Sanborn had promised to create 117 jobs with an average wage of $72,000 in exchange for $650,000 in financial incentives. Sanborn had announced plans to create TV shows and film projects in the area, but those plans were never realized. According to court documents filed by Sanborn, the company was dissolved on April 26.
