Generosity in the spotlight.

 

1.

Keeton's Office & Art Supply in Bradenton collected 1,024 pounds of food for the Food Bank of Manatee.

 

2.

On A Shoestring, Inc., Bradenton's running and walking specialty store, donated 47 pairs of new shoes, valued at more than $5,000, to the Bill Galvano One Stop Center-Community Coalition on Homeless. On A Shoestring also collects used shoes from their customers and regularly donates them the One Stop Center.

 

3.

Wilde Automotive employees, family and customers donated more than $30,000 to the American Cancer Society as part of their campaign for the 2012 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer for Sarasota/Manatee.

Gulf Coast Community Foundation and Westfield Southgate are partnering to help community members fund local charity projects just by shopping at the mall. Shoppers who spend $200 or more in same-day purchases at Westfield Southgate will receive a $25 “Holiday Give Card,” which may be used to fund a project on GulfCoastGives.org. To claim the “Holiday Give Card,” shoppers must bring their receipts to the center’s management office, concierge desk, the Gulf Coast Community Foundation booth near the main entrance, or Saks Fifth Avenue.  This program runs December 1–31.
