WMG Development LLC has announced a new retail shopping center in Palmer Ranch, with Publix as the anchor tenant. The Shoppes at Palmer Ranch, located at the northeast corner of Honore Avenue and Central Sarasota Parkway, is projected to open late September 2022. When completed, the development will encompass 65,848 square feet of grocery, retail, medical and restaurants and will have two additional outparcels for lease. The new Publix will occupy approximately 48,000 square feet of the development. The grocery store will be joined by Heartland Dental.

Currently, the project’s site plan is under review with Sarasota County. It is anticipated that construction will begin in fall of 2021, pending necessary county approvals.
