Solstice Architects Wins Two Awards from AIA Tampa Bay

The firm's Element House won AIA Tampa Bay's first-ever sustainability award; its Rosemary Square project won a merit award for excellence in design.

Sarasota-based Solstice Planning and Architecture won two design awards from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Tampa Bay Chapter last week. Solstice received AIA's Tampa Bay first-ever Sustainability Award for its LEED Platinum residence Element House. The firm's mixed-use project Rosemary Square in Sarasota was recognized with the Merit Award for excellence in design.

Criteria considered by the awards jurors included design quality, program resolution, innovation, thoughtfulness, sustainability and technique. This year’s jurors were from the Seattle-based architectural firm Olson Kundig.
