Save Our Y, the grassroots community crusade to keep the former Sarasota YMCA Fitness Centers open, announced that a $4.4 million real estate transaction was completed, giving the Save Our Y organization ownership of the Euclid Ave and Potter Park properties. The transaction was made possible by two $500,000 gifts from Y members Jon and Libby Soderberg, as well as an anonymous donor. The transaction was underwritten by Servisfirst Bank. In consideration of the below-market purchase price, Safe Children Coalition (SCC) will operate its adolescent and youth services on the property at no charge for three years. Simultaneous with the real estate transaction was a corporate name change from Save Our Y to Our Y
