Single family home sales in Sarasota and Manatee counties decreased by 0.4 percent between May and June of this year and new listings also decreased, by 3.4 percent.

Single family home sales in Sarasota and Manatee counties decreased by 0.4 percent between May and June of this year and new listings also decreased, by 3.4 percent, according to new data released by the Realtor Association of Sarasota and Manatee. Sales of condos increased slightly, by 1.5 percent, while new condo listings decreased by 5.8 percent. The time between the listing date and the contract date has been increasing for the last three months. Sarasota County condos spent 67 days on the market, while Manatee County condos spent 54 days on the market. For single family homes, Sarasota County sits at 61 days on the market and Manatee County at 47 days. Median prices, meanwhile, continue to rise. The median price for single family homes in Sarasota County is $275,000, an increase of 10.9 percent from last year, while the median price in Manatee County for single family homes is $297,750, a 4.5 percent increase.
