A Golden Gate Point Condo is the Top Sarasota Sale for March

After just one month on the market, a four-bedroom, two-bath condominium in Golden Gate Point’s Grande Riviera—that’s the one with the big gold dome—sold for $4.35 million, making it the highest Sarasota County residential real estate sale in March. At 5,554 square feet (7,106 with outdoor terraces), it’s one of the largest downtown condominiums, and that’s what attracted the buyers, says Reid Murphy of Developers Realty, who both listed and sold the condo. Murphy says the buyers are winter residents who’ve been Longboat Key snowbirds since the early 1990s. “They were looking for more square footage and looking to spend more time in town than the typical six months,” he says. The condo last sold in 2005, the year it was built, for $4 million.
