Good News Friday: Big Deals - Oct. 2, 2015

Sarasota-based Insula Companies, a firm specializing in apartment community acquisition and revitalization on behalf of private investors, has added Harbour Walk Apartments in Tampa to its portfolio of communities. The $29.5 million purchase is the company’s largest asset to date and marks the ninth acquisition in 2015, and the 24th since the firm began operations in 2009.

 


 

Bette-Jo Creighton of Sarasota purchased a 2,437-square-foot Sarabande condominium unit from Wayne and Deborah Seitl for $1.83 million. Al Dumas of Re/Max Alliance Group represented the Seitls.

 


 

Fernando and Helena Costa purchased Cortez Cove Boatyard & Marina for $1.8 million from Item Invest LLC. The 2.66-acre property at 4522 W. 121st St. in Bradenton has three buildings with nearly 10,500 square feet of commercial space.

 


 

East Coast Migrant Head Start Project Inc. purchased the 7,157-square-foot special use building at 906 17th St. W. in Palmetto from AMIKIDS, Inc. for $332,500. Charim Gleitmann of Xena Vallone Realty represented the buyer; Debra Cooper of Sperry Van Ness Commercial Advisory Group represented the seller.
