NorthStar Healthcare Income Inc. purchased The Fountains at Lake Pointe Woods retirement facility and its affiliated Springs at Lake Pointe Woods in Sarasota from a subsidiary of Fountains Senior Living Holdings LLC for $93.1 million, making it the region’s largest commercial real estate transaction. The 281-unit facility, which sits on approximately 50 acres, will continue to be managed by Watermark Retirement Communities, Inc.
Ryland Homes purchased 9.8 acres of land on Old Venice Road in Osprey from Scott and Kim Dorn for $1.15 million. Ryland had the land platted for a 31-lot subdivision. Tony Veldkamp of the downtown Sarasota office of Sperry Van Ness Commercial Advisory Group handled the transaction.
