Which is one reason we like the Hyatt Residences on Siesta Key Beach so much. Sure, you can buy one and live here full time—and yes, people do. But these beachfront condos are perfect for a part-time lifestyle, luxury division. Two of the bedrooms face the Gulf, and the master suite has the sort of bath that luxury downtime demands—it’s 20 feet long, with a toilet that literally glows in the dark and a view of the water from the Jacuzzi tub. There’s another sleeping space/den/media room with its own bath and rustic wooden floor.

The kitchen comes completely equipped with Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances, gourmet cookware, dishes and glassware, coffee machines. (By the way, you can order food from Morton’s.) There’s a washer and dryer, a powder room and a big entrance hall. The furniture is top of the line, somewhat British Colonial in feeling, with a living room coffee table we recognized as a design by famed T.J. Robsjohn-Gibbings.

Unit 407 is priced at $1,899,999. Monthly charges are $2,749 and they include electricity and all other utilities. There is also a rental program for owners.
