Missy Mulloy returned to Sarasota after cultivating a bicoastal career in California and Florida as a location manager on commercials, reality shows and blockbuster movies like Inception and The Dark Knight Rises. She is currently working as a freelance producer in a cool downtown Sarasota studio at InterMedia Productions, bringing her expertise to the region’s growing media production community.
MISSY’S GOAL “When I work on set, especially on location out of a suitcase, my clothes have to be comfortable and show the fun urban vibe I like; I have Converse sneakers in an assortment of colors. Now that I’m back in Sarasota, I don’t want to lose my Hollywood fun side, but I want to dress more professionally.”
JACKIE’S GOAL “I wanted Missy to merge her L.A.-Sarasota style. Working as a producer means there will be more meetings, presentations and networking events where T-shirts and sneaks won’t be polished enough. I selected this dress for its fit, color, detail and versatility. The blue is a great color on Missy, and the studded detail provides a cool visual interest. The jacket adds an urban edge. The dress also can be switched up by wearing it with tights and boots, or by replacing the jacket with a flowing cardigan for a softer effect. I kept the earrings subtle and went for a high heel to take the outfit into the evening.”
MISSY’S TAKE “The hair, make-up, clothes all came together better than I could have hoped. The outfit captured the edgy, fun spirit we discussed. I could wear it to a client meeting, head to happy hour, then to dinner on the town. It’s perfect because it makes an elegant transition from day to night, and it has a cool cosmopolitan style.”
