Biz Makeover

Beau’s Goal:  “The mountain man look was fun for a while, but it was time for a change. I wanted something that didn’t look like I was stuck in college, and I don’t want my co-workers to feel embarrassed when they introduce me at events.”

Jackie’s Approach: “Beau hates to shop and was stuck in the ‘I’ll just wear whatever’ mode. Because he is in a creative field where jeans are perfectly acceptable, I went with a modern cut with classic stitching and simple pockets in a dark wash to keep them professional. I selected a brightly colored shirt to keep him current and brighten him up, then paired it with a modern-cut navy blazer that can work for meetings outside the office and even a date on the weekend. Every guy should own a navy blazer. I finished the outfit with a brown leather belt and leather shoes. The finishing touch was the haircut from Mary and the shave with Hillis, which was the only way to remove his fully grown beard.”

Beau’s Reaction: “Pink is definitely a stretch for me. It’s not something I would have picked out on my own, but it was exactly the kind of prodding I needed to try something new. I also loved the shave at the barber shop—it was incredible.”
