Last week, a burger spot with famous family ties opened inside Sarasota Bradenton International Airport. Wahlburgers, a national chain based out of Massachusetts and owned by brothers Mark, Donnie and Paul Wahlberg, specializes in premium Angus burgers with sides like parmesan truffle tots and crispy fried pickles.
“Wahlburgers combines the comfort of a neighborhood burger joint with a fun, celebrity-driven atmosphere,” Jen Juul, vice president of business development for the airport’s food and beverage operator, SSP America, said in a press release. “The brand aligns beautifully with the spirit of SRQ and the growth happening across the airport.”
Open from 4:30 a.m. until 9 p.m., airport visitors can grab favorites like the “Our Burger” (a smash burger with the restaurant's signature "Wahl Sauce"); “O.F.D. Burger” (two patties with Swiss cheese, bacon, mushrooms and tomato jam; O.F.D stands for "Originally from “Dorchestah”); a barbecue bacon burger and a crispy chicken sandwich, along with breakfast items for the early birds and desserts like milkshakes, floats and ice cream.
“We’re proud to bring our signature flavors to such a vibrant destination,” Wahlburgers CEO Randy Sharpe said in a release. “Sarasota-Brandenton’s strong sense of community and distinct personality align perfectly with the Wahlburgers brand.”
Wahlbergers is located in Concourse B of the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport. For more information, click here.
