Origin Pizza owner Rami Nehme continues to build his pizza empire with his fifth Origin location in Sarasota County. Nehme opened Origin's Rosemary District location earlier this week inside Parkside, a food-and-beverage compound anchored by Arts & Central restaurant. The first Origin Pizza opened in 2016 in Southside Village—in addition to the Rosemary District, locations now include Palmer Ranch, University Parkway and The Landings.

Lefty's Oyster & Seafood Bar

The Watershed Hospitality Concepts restaurant group has added another restaurant to its growing list, which includes Cask & Ale, Blasé Martini Bar, 3.14 Pi Pizza, and Pie on Main. Now: Lefty's Oyster & Seafood Bar. The new restaurant replaces Mandeville Beer Garden on Lemon Avenue, and will serve a seafood-focused menu alongside plenty of refreshing cocktails at expanded bar seating. The team at Lefty's has been working hard to update the Mandeville space with coastal flourishes while preserving its beloved indoor and outdoor atmosphere. They have officially opened as of Monday, Jan. 27. (Fun fact: Lefty's named after one of the partner's dogs, a tripod rescue who is loved by all.)
