The Fresh Market has announced an official opening date of April 24 for its latest local store in Lakewood Ranch. That location will be the grocery chain's 162nd store, and first one in the Lakewood Ranch area.

Early risers are invited to the grand opening, which begins at 7:45 a.m. The first 500 guests will receive customized The Fresh Market Lakewood Ranch reusable shopping bags. Other festivities that day will include food samplings, cooking demonstrations and a live cellist to set the mood.
