Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. And if you’re the type of person who waits until the last minute to make reservations, never fear. We’ve put together a list of spots to make your V-Day memorable, with special prix fixe menus for you and your sweetie.

Downtown Sarasota

Here's an excellent chance to beat the crowds and celebrate Valentine's Day early: Duval's menu runs from Feb. 10 to Feb. 14. We love the crab corn chowder, classic surf and turf, and flourless chocolate cake.

Mattison's City Grille

1 N. Lemon Ave., Sarasota, (941) 330-0440,

Take in the sights  and sounds of downtown at this classic outdoor spot. Watch couples stroll the downtown streets holding hands and make eyes at your own date. Dinner options include black tiger prawn risotto and Chesapeake Bay oysters casino.

Michael's on East

1212 S. East Ave., Sarasota, (941) 366-0007,

Celebrate early at Michael's on East; reservations are open on Monday, Feb. 13. The expansive dining room, with its cushy booths, is sure to put you in the mood for love.

1920 Hillview St., Sarasota, (941) 444-7692,

Splurge on Valentine's Day this year with offerings from one of Sarasota's best new restaurants. For $125, you can sample chef Drew Adams' phenomenal food with "special surprises" throughout the meal.

2085 Siesta Dr., #1, Sarasota, (941)  950-9200,

Enjoy the intimate and romantic vibes at Andrea's. Baby lobster fra diavola with linguine? Yum.

Phillipi Creek Oyster Bar

5353 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, (941) 925-4444,

Maybe diving into a heaping helping of crab legs isn't the most romantic way to impress your date, but if they really love you—and food—you'll both leave satisfied. Try a seafood tower or the special surf and turf for a memorable evening on the creek.

Siesta Key

Café Gabbiano

5104 Ocean Blvd., Siesta Key, (941) 349-1423,

One of our favorite Italian restaurants in town, Café Gabbiano is serving up meat and cheese plates, lobster bisque and black truffle risotto, just to name a few.

Longboat Key

Maison Blanche

2605 Gulf of Mexico Dr., Longboat Key, (941) 383-8088,

This hidden gem always offers one of the best prix fixe menus around. Step it up this Valentine's Day with roasted octopus, mushroom ravioli in a foie gras sauce or beef short ribs.

Lakewood Ranch

Good Liquid Brewing Company

1570 Lakefront Dr., Sarasota, (941) 238-6466,

Keep things casual and laid-back at this Waterside Place gastropub. For $80 per couple, you can enjoy a locally brewed beer pairing with your three-course meal.

This spot makes the list for the epic Galentine's Day celebration, hosted on Feb. 13. Enjoy live music on the Intracoastal with plenty of Veuve and a five-course meal that's sure to stun.
