Delicious traditional Jewish food is a mainstay of the annual Sarasota Jewish Food Festival.

Temple Sinai’s Sarasota Jewish Food Festival returns this year on Sunday, Jan. 29. Temple members who tout themselves as chefs and bakers will prepare a wide variety of Jewish food, including bagels, kugel, knishes and more.

“Since we were not able to hold the food festival during the pandemic, we are especially excited to welcome the community back to celebrate great Jewish food and culture,” says Andrea Eiffert, Temple Sinai's director of communications and programming, said in a press release.

In addition to savory goodies, baked goods like challah, cakes and other pastries will be available for guests to enjoy. There will also be family-friendly activities, like face painting and a bounce house for the kids, as well as crafts, jewelry and art for sale.

Admission to the event is free; tickets will be sold for any food purchases.

The Sarasota Jewish Food Festival will take place on Sunday, Jan. 29, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Temple Sinai on 4631 S. Lockwood Ridge Road. For more information call (941) 924-1802 or visit their website.
