Origin Craft Beer & Pizza Café has opened its fourth location in Sarasota in The Landings shopping plaza. The new location maintains the restaurant's signature family-friendly atmosphere on a larger scale, with room for plenty of arcade games to keep the kids occupied while waiting for their dinner.

Owner Rami Nehme, who lives near The Landings, was dining in the shopping plaza when he realized it would be a great spot to open another Origin. "There wasn't anywhere where people can casually hang out yet," he says.

Nehme moved to Sarasota in 2005 and opened the first Origin in 2016 in Southside Village. With an extensive residential community close by and plenty of hungry hospital workers, the restaurant quickly amassed a dedicated following.

"I think the hospital workers will always come to our restaurants, especially now that we are in other neighborhoods. Not everyone who works there lives by the hospital," he says.

The newest Origin also features a full bar, the first of the chain to offer spirits as well as their well-curated craft beer selection. To accompany your mixed drink or beer, Nehme is introducing a new pizza called "The Landings." The 12-inch specialty pizza has a cream-based sauce and is topped with artichokes, spinach, sun-dried tomatoes and spices. 

"Pizza is the way to your heart," says Nehme, and we could not agree more.
