It is shaping up to be an ultra-hot summer, and what better way to combat the heat than with a refreshing lemonade or smoothie? The husband and wife duo Andrew and Anju Lynn plan to open a Wow Wow Hawaiian Lemonade Stand in the Fruitville Commons shopping plaza later this month.
"Being a part of Wow Wow has been amazing, as there has already been a great response from our mobile food truck, The Lemon Bus," said Anju, according to a press release. The brick-and-mortar Wow Wow will specialize in lemonade, smoothies, açai bowls and other healthy snacks.
The owners are also committed to sustainability, by offering reusable mason jars that customers can use repeatedly. They have also sourced compostable and recyclable packaging to be used for all takeout items.
Wow Wow was founded in Hawaii in 2012 and gained success with adventurous flavors like strawberry pineapple and "butterfly mojito" lemonades. There are currently 13 franchised lemonade stands around the world. The new Sarasota location will be the first in Florida and the Lynns have plans to open four more stands across the state.
"We are excited to welcome the community to visit us and enjoy our menu full of delicious lemonades," said Anju. The shop is set to open on Saturday, July 30.
Wow Wow Hawaiin Lemonade will be located at 3110 Fruitville Commons Blvd., Sarasota. It will be open 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Friday and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. For more info, call (941) 351-6919 or visit the Wow Wow website.
