End the work week and Taste of UTC with a SEAsonal Tasting. Hosted by Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium and the University Town Center, this event will take place tomorrow, April 14, at the Nathan Benderson Park Finishing Tower. 

SEAsonal Tasting not only celebrates UTC’s ever-growing restaurant scene, but benefits the soon-to-be neighbor of the UTC community—Mote Science Education Aquarium (Mote SEA). Construction for the new aquarium has been underway since November 2020. Mote SEA will inhabit 12 acres of Nathan Benderson Park and aims to be an educational hub for Sarasota-Manatee youth with immersive learning opportunities and science education programs for everyone from pre-K children to retired adults to research students. The 110,000-square-foot aquarium space will house over 1 million gallons and feature an abundance of sea life, including manatees, Atlantic and Pacific coral reefs, and sea turtles. 

The ticketed event will be held from 6 to 9:30pm. Light bites will be served by participating UTC restaurants, including BENTO Asian Kitchen + Sushi, Capital Grill, Five-O Donut Co. and Mademoiselle Paris. Guests can also enjoy live music courtesy of Phase 5 Band.
