Discounted Gift Certificates to Dozens of Local Restaurants Go on Sale Thursday

When you’re out shopping and checking off those Christmas lists, you’re bound to spend money on a quick bite to keep you going, so why not save money in the process? With a discounted Sarasota-Manatee Originals dining certificate, you can.

Beginning at 7 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 9, the Originals, a coalition of dozens of local, independent restaurants, will be offering up to 30 percent off on gift certificates at 60-plus eateries located between “the tip of Anna Maria Island [and] the southern beaches of Venice.”
That means that, with the discounted sale, shoppers can secure a $50 certificate for $35 and a $15 certificate for $10.50, with prices varying based on the item and the restaurant.
