It's never too early to start making dinner plans, so start filling up your June calendar. Savor Sarasota, the annual two-week discount restaurant promotion, will return for the 16th year from Tuesday, June 1, to Monday, June 14.

During Savor Sarasota, participating restaurants will offer special multi-course, prix fixe meals that cost $16 at lunch and $32 at dinner. This year, because of the Covid-19 pandemic, restaurants can offer the deals for takeout customers as well as for dine-in customers.

Dozens of restaurants typically join in the promotional effort, and many continue to offer the deals informally after the June 14 cutoff date. The final lineup of restaurants is only now being put together, but a handful—including Mélange, one of Sarasota's best—have already signed on. The event is organized by Visit Sarasota County.
