Terry Burkholder and Ben Finley opened a Marco's Pizza franchise in Nokomis on Sunday, joining existing locations in North Port, Englewood, Sarasota, Bradenton and Lakewood Ranch. Marco's began in Ohio, but has expanded to 34 states, Puerto Rico and the Bahamas, with more than 1,000 locations in total.

The Marco's menu includes both classic pizzas and specialty pies, plus subs and salads. The restaurant offers contact-free delivery and curbside pickup, and Burkholder and Finley require employees to wear masks and have their health checked daily because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
