Ryan Boeve, one of the talented chefs behind the popular downtown Sarasota restaurant Lila, has a new project in the works: Lucile Pizza & Wine Bar will open just down the street from Lila in mid-November.

The restaurant will seat 25 with bar and banquette seating and will focus, like Lila, on offering dishes made with organic, local ingredients and sustainable, ethical meats. The menu will include mostly plant-based pizzas, vegetable sides and pasta dishes. A press release characterizes the new restaurant as an "intimate" destination that will be perfect for a date night. The restaurant is named for Boeve's maternal grandmother, described as "a driving force" in his restaurant career.

Boeve's partner in the project is Mark Baldwin of Baldwin Construction & Design. The restaurant will be located at 1660 Main St., Sarasota, a block east of Lila. And don't fret: Lila will remain open after the new space debuts.
