If you've ever been to the Sarasota Farmers Market on Saturday mornings, you've probably walked past the red double-decker bus with a line of people waiting in front of it. It's Java Dawg Coffee, a locally owned coffee and roasting company known for its strong espresso drinks, frappes, smoothies and sweet treats.

Now there's good news for those who can't always make it to the Saturday market: Java Dawg recently began weekly operations on Cattlemen Road at the intersection with Packinghouse Road, Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. The bus will serve its usual weekend market menu of drinks and baked goods. You can also find coffee by the bag online, and the company offers catering for events, too. The expansion to weekly hours is in hopes to increase clientele east of downtown, near the Fruitville area.
