Duck Donuts is one of the new food businesses coming to Lakewood Ranch next year.

The developers behind Waterside Place in Lakewood Ranch have already lined up a number of exciting restaurants and cafés for the project. That list of promising new food destinations just got longer, with news that the neighborhood will also be home to Duck Donuts, Atria Bread + Coffee and CROP Juice.

When completed, Waterside Place will be a 36-acre hub for Waterside, a Lakewood Ranch neighborhood that is expected to include 5,000 homes when built out. Plans for Waterside Place call for a mix of arts and entertainment options, commercial space, an eight-acre park and a variety of restaurants and food businesses.

Duck Donuts is a North Carolina-based chain that has hundreds of franchises around the country. Atria, meanwhile, will be a local café that will serve artisan breads, coffee drinks and breakfast and lunch items. CROP Juice is a popular cold-pressed juice company with existing locations around the area.

Last year, the team behind Waterside Place announced that the project will be home to Korê, a new Japanese restaurant from the owners of JPan, as well as a Foundation Coffee Co. location, a SoFresh and a Kilwins. Waterside Place is expected to be completed next spring.
