Tina Granthon’s career is a masterclass in the “pivot”—moving from saving lives at the bedside to healing an entire community. With over two decades in medicine, including a rigorous tenure at Manatee Memorial Hospital’s cardiac unit, Tina transitioned from a frontline nurse to a Nurse Practitioner. Today, her “patients” are the most vulnerable: children at risk, young women seeking leadership, and families navigating systemic gaps.

At the heart of Tina’s work is the Child Protection Center (CPC). Having served as Board Chair and remaining an active Director, she fiercely advocates for the prevention, intervention, and treatment of child abuse, using her clinical background to ensure children are safe and free to thrive.

Her influence extends from protection to generational empowerment. As presiding chair for the National Charity League (NCL), she fosters unique bonds between mothers and daughters through community service. Operating with a singular focus on human dignity.

This same authentic energy defines her history with local philanthropy. A long-term champion for Forty Carrots Family Center, Tina co-chaired the premier Wine Women & Shoes event in 2017 and 2018 to strengthen families through early childhood education and mental health services. Known for leading with heart, she once even surprised a formal gala audience with a spirited rap performance to boost fundraising.

Her decade-plus legacy of leadership and sponsorship spans the region’s most impactful initiatives. This includes consistent committee roles and financial sponsorship for the Firefly Gala (2013–2022), the Community Speaker Event (2014–2022), and sustained devotion to Wine Women & Shoes (2016–2024).

Tina Granthon is a builder of safety nets and a bridge-maker for human potential. Her journey from the cardiac unit to the boardroom proves that while her tools have changed, her mission remains the same: to protect the heart of the community.
