Vivek V Kumar, DO FACC, FSCAI, MBA is board certified in General, Interventional and Nuclear Cardiology. He received his medical degree from LECOM in Erie, PA and completed his residency at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital and Cardiovascular Fellowships with University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Western Pennsylvania Hospital.

Dr. Kumar guides his practice with integrity, respect and compassion. HeartCare Consultants acknowledges that every patient is someone’s VIP. Every Staff member is provided with the expectation that respect and compassion is the foundation of their approach to the patient and their family.

HeartCare is a full service cardiovascular practice located in Lakewood Ranch serving Lakewood Ranch Medical Center, Manatee Memorial and Doctor’s Hospital. The office offers cardiac and vascular ultrasound imaging, stress testing, event monitoring and pacemaker/ICD/loop recorder monitoring.

Dr. Kumar has a special interest in acute pulmonary embolism, DVT and peripheral vascular interventions

Dr. Kumar reads and interprets every test and performs all of his procedures in the hospital setting. Dr. Kumar’s team includes highly trained and qualified Nurse Practitioners with many years of experience in Cardiovascular Medicine.
