More than thirty years ago, CAN Community Health opened its doors in Sarasota with a bold vision for inclusive HIV care. That vision, first led by founder Susan Terry, continues today through dedicated leaders like Dr. Tanya Schreibman, Medical Director of the Tuttle location. A Cornell and Yale alumna, Dr. Schreibman is an accomplished provider whose passion for patient wellness shapes every aspect of her work. From research to direct care, she has proudly called CAN Community Health home for nearly two decades. Dr. Schreibman has served as a principal investigator on multiple clinical trials, advancing innovation in HIV treatment and prevention. In addition to her work at CAN, she serves on staff at Florida State University and holds affiliate privileges at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, extending her impact across academic and clinical settings. As CAN Community Health celebrates 35 years of progress toward ending epidemics, its influence continues to grow locally and beyond. Guided by exceptional providers like Dr. Schreibman, CAN consistently raises the standard for compassionate, accessible, and evidence-based HIV care. Together, these milestones reflect a legacy of trust, resilience, and community partnership that defines CAN’s mission and inspires hope for future generations across Florida and beyond today.
