Dr. Richard Puzzitiello is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in the arthroscopic and open treatment of complex shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee conditions, including sports-related injuries. His clinical interests include joint preservation procedures such as cartilage restoration and hip arthroscopy for the treatment of labral tears and femoroacetabular impingement (FAI). Dr. Puzzitiello also performs shoulder and knee replacements utilizing advanced robotic and virtual navigation technologies to improve surgical precision and outcomes.

Dr. Puzzitiello joined Coastal Orthopedics in September 2025 and sees patients at the East Bradenton and West Bradenton office locations. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Tufts University, where he served as chief resident at New England Baptist Hospital. He then completed a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Utah, where he gained experience treating both recreational and elite athletes.

Dr. Puzzitiello treats patients of all ages and activity levels, focusing on restoring mobility, reducing pain, and supporting safe return to activity.
