The mission of Sarasota Performing Arts Foundation is to create and sustain a vibrant performing arts center, advance education, and enrich communities by inspiring minds through the transformative power of the arts. 

Since 1987, the Foundation has worked to expand access to the arts and support arts education across the region. With education at its core, the Foundation is partnering with the City of Sarasota to develop a contemporary performing arts center of national significance – designed to inspire, engage, and serve generations to come. 

In the past year alone, private support has helped the Foundation reach more than 40,000 students and their families in partnership with the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, provided professional development to 400 teachers across five counties, and sustained the Schooltime Performances series through provision of tickets and transportation for over 80 schools.
