Since 2008, Nate’s Honor Animal Rescue Center has been giving hope to abandoned and mistreated animals in the Sarasota and Manatee communities. As a no-kill nonprofit organization, they are committed to saving lives, one paw at a time, by providing shelter, medical care, and adoption services to thousands of dogs and cats each year.
Thanks to the support of volunteers, fosters, and donors, they have grown from a small shelter into a trusted community center. Through their Journey Home capital campaign, they are expanding their 8-acre campus to save more lives and serve more families. This $16 million expansion, set to complete this year, will double dog capacity, expand cat capacity, open a public veterinary clinic for shelter and community pets, and increase services through a new Community & Event Center and Behavior & Training Center.
With every addition, their mission remains the same: to save the lives of homeless animals and change the way the community views sheltering. By creating a compassionate, educational, family-friendly environment, they’re building a better future – one animal, one family, and one generation at a time.
- 20,000+ animals adopted into loving homes since 2008.
- No-kill rescue partner for municipal shelters to save animals from space-based euthanasia.
- Pet retention programs include training classes, behavior support, and community outreach.
- Major expansion opening 2025 to double capacity and expand services
