Marina and Jo Ann partnered in 2012 to establish Koontz & Parkin, CPAs. Merging with Rea in June 2024 marked an exciting milestone that has brought the firm’s specialized expertise to various industries to Florida. 

Marina is a Principal at Rea’s Sarasota office, offering over 25 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on small business, tax, and real estate. Marina strives to reduce her clients’ tax burdens, clearly explaining the strategies she uses in a way that’s easy to understand. By taking the stress out of the tax process for each client, she feels that she has done her job as a trusted business advisor.

Jo Ann began her career as an intern at Rea’s Ohio office in 1998 and now serves as a Principal in Sarasota. An attorney-CPA with 25+ years of experience in tax, real estate, and corporate law, she delivers strategic guidance to businesses. Fluent in Spanish and Italian, Jo Ann is known for her clear, approachable style and ability to bridge the gap between attorneys and CPAs.
