A proud Manatee County native, Dannie Sherrill brings deep roots and fresh perspective as she steps into her new role as Board Chair of Manatee Community Foundation (MCF) in July 2025. With nearly seven years of board service, she will guide MCF into a new era of independence and impact, building on a 27-year legacy and over $67 million invested in charitable causes.

Dannie’s commitment to community is personal. Her father, Bob Blalock, helped found MCF in 1998, and today she continues that vision with her own legacy of leadership. Drawing on her background in nonprofit development and her work with Sherrill Wealth Management, she champions purposeful giving and lasting relationships.

With a passion for education, foster care, and strengthening local systems, Dannie sees MCF as a vital connector. “It’s where you begin if you want to make a difference,” she says. As Manatee County grows, so does the need, and under Dannie’s leadership, MCF is poised to meet it with heart, strategy, and bold community investment.
