Vivek Kumar, DO FACC, FSCAI is board certified in General, Interventional and Nuclear Cardiology. He received his medical degree from LECOM in Erie, PA and completed his residency at the Western PA Hospital and Cardiovascular Fellowships with University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Western Pennsylvania Hospital.

Dr. Kumar leads HeartCare Consultants, a full-service cardiovascular practice in Lakewood Ranch, serving Lakewood Ranch Medical Center, Manatee Memorial, and Doctor’s Hospital. The practice offers cardiac and vascular ultrasound imaging, stress testing, event monitoring, and pacemaker/ICD/loop recorder monitoring, supported by experienced Nurse Practitioners.

He has a special interest in acute pulmonary embolism, DVT, and peripheral vascular interventions. Dr. Kumar personally reads and interprets all tests and performs procedures in a hospital setting.
