Richard Van Buskirk, DO, PhD, FAAO has been in private medical practice in Sarasota, Florida for 34 years. His primary practice focus is diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, diseases, and dysfunctions. He is Board Certified in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Family Medicine. His first book, The Still Technique Manual has been published through two editions and has been translated and published in Japanese and French. It is in use at osteopathic medical schools throughout the United States, as well as internationally. He recently published a consumer level book on musculoskeletal medicine titled Taking Charge of Your Body. Understanding the musculoskeletal system is key to gaining and keeping healthy bones, joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments. This new book is intended to help readers and achieve these goals.
