For 15 years, the Boxser Diversity Initiative has inspired people to care about diversity and inclusion. We activate honest dialogue and learning through programs that challenge biases, celebrate differences, and promote empathy and respect.

We need your help to continue offering impactful programs in 2024-2025. Your support enables us to provide free, high-quality events and educational opportunities to the public, raising awareness about important social issues, building bridges of understanding, and enriching the quality of life throughout Sarasota and Southwest Florida.

• Building Bridges Discussion Series kicks off in the fall, with monthly events scheduled through March 2025. All programs are free and open to the public and feature engaging talks with renowned scholars, authors, and activists.

• Bending the Arc: A Civil Rights Journey is an exciting new program for local high school students, offering in-depth learning about civil rights history. The program culminates in an all-expenses-paid trip to Montgomery, Selma, and Birmingham, Alabama.
